About us
Alan Rayner has over 30 years experience as a university lecturer and mycological researcher, and is an excellent field ecologist with interests in birds, fungi, flowering plants as well as lichens and bryophytes. He is also an artist, poet and philosopher and has written many scientific papers, books and essays.
Marion Rayner also has a lifelong interest in the natural world and studied botany and microbiology, and worked in rural community development. Marion has wide ranging natural history interests particularly in landscape and plant ecology, but has a special interest in bryophytes. She also enjoys exploring these interests through photography, art and cultural history.
